Our worship follows a traditional Lutheran liturgy, similar in style to Episcopal and Catholic services, with seasonal variations that keep things fresh and meaningful. While the structure may feel formal, the atmosphere is anything but stiff. You’ll hear laughter, see children playing, and feel the joy of a community that takes faith seriously—but never forgets to celebrate together.
Don’t worry about what to wear or how to fit in. Come as you are. We’re here to walk alongside one another in faith, and we’re excited to welcome you into that journey.
Some general notes about Sunday worship:
- Resurrection’s worship services are traditional, but our environment is relaxed.
- Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to join in worship. See below for further information.
- Whether in suit or dress, or shorts and a t-shirt, we invite you to come in the way that best opens you to God and prepares you for worship.
- The parts of worship are projected on screens, however, for your convenience additional resources are available including:
- A printed bulletin that shows you where we are in the service and includes the musical arrangements for those who like to read music.
- A printout of the power point slides for those who need to remain seated or can’t see over the shoulder of the person in front of them.
- A link so that you can download the power point onto your own screen to use in worship.
- We love to sing at Resurrection, and we draw mostly from hymns supported by organ or piano. The music of worship is supported by an active music program that includes a choir, chimes, and an instrumental group. Occasional solos and duets are often a part of our worship.
- Each Sunday following the Children's Message, the children take a Penny Collection that supports ministries worldwide.
