Rev. William Smith
I am originally from Fort Wayne, and spent most of my time growing up as a member of Messiah Lutheran where my mother was a pastor. I graduated from Snider, where I wrestled for 4 years and never lettered. I spent two years at IPFW, and graduated from IU Bloomington where I received a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Jewish Studies. During college, I married my high school sweetheart, Sue, and we now have 3 children. I attended Trinity Seminary in Columbus Ohio, did my internship in Chagrin Falls Ohio, and worked for three years as an on call chaplain for Ohio State University Hospital. We returned to Indiana after graduation and I took my first call in Monroeville. I served there until I began my call at Resurrection in December 2012. My passions in ministry revolve around preaching and teaching, and the opportunities to learn other people’s stories and to walk with them in their faith journey.
